 Mode dial
This NEW 4x8 DC brake system is a normal evolution
of the 4x8 DC brake of the previous model.
The internal mode dial allows you to select
from four modes: FL (fluorocarbon), P (PE),
NM (nylon monoferament), and X (extreme long cast).
Of these, the FL, P, and NM modes are input
with the optimum brake curve that matches
the characteristics of the line, making it a brake
that is easy to use for general lures of 7g to 30g.
Although it depends on the volume, a strong
brake generally works in the order of NM→P→FL.

 X mode (extreme long cast mode)
X is a special mode, and it is a brake setting
that targets lure with low air resistance
at high rotation of 30,000 rpm or more such
as heavy Carolina rig from Okappari, iron plate type
metal vibration, metal jig etc. Unlike the other 3 modes,
you can't choose a line, but since the brake setting
is fairly weak due to long throw emphasis,
you need to be especially careful about sudden
backlash when using PE.
Mr. Motoki Murata, an expert in casting, also cooperated
in setting this mode. In particular, the position of volume 5 is set by
Mr. Murata using the 21g sinker
and World Shaura 17113R-2 at the DC brake setting stage to hit a flight
distance of 109.37m.
On top of that, four weaker brakes are also included, which makes it possible to expect a long-throwing
performance that greatly exceeds the previous work 06ANTARES DC. |
